Our next theme day was Dr. Seuss inspired. Regina LOVES Dr. Seuss books, and even though she's 10, she will still hoard all the books in her room.

We started the day with - what else - green eggs and ham! Regina and Molly both love eggs and ham, so it was a hit with them. (Maddy is our pickiest eater, so mama enjoyed her green eggs and ham!)

We got out some of our favorite Dr. Seuss books to read. We have a pretty good selection. When Regina was little, they were some of the only books she would read so I stocked up. She and Molly still love to read them and see who can say the tongue twisters the fastest!

After breakfast, we read Go Dog Go (I know, it was written by someone else, but it's in the Dr. Seuss family of books!), and the girls made their own Go Dog Go cars. I found this STEM kit from Lakeshore Learning. The girls loved personalizing their designs.

We followed this activity up with reading The Butter Battle and making our own butter. Then Molly read Bartholomew and the Oobleck while I attempted to make Oobleck. Full disclosure, I have no idea what Oobleck is supposed to feel like, but our recipe may not have been the best...

We also made Truffula tree treats as our snack while we watched The Lorax. We used Trix cereal and melted marshmallows. It was messy, but yummy!
